1. What this notice covers
This notice explains how we collect and use personal data when you use our website, join a campaign, subscribe to updates, donate, or otherwise contact us.
2. What we collect
Depending on what you do, we may collect:
- Identity & contact: name, email address (and email confirmation on campaign forms)
- Optional campaign fields: UK region (and organisation only if a specific campaign enables it)
- Consent records: whether you agreed to be contacted, and when
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and cookie / similar technology data (see cookies below)
- Donation data: handled via our payment provider (Stripe) — we do not store full card numbers on our servers
3. Campaign sign-up (new website)
- You submit the campaign form (required fields + consent).
- We create or update a member record in Ghost (our CRM / email platform), with labels for campaign, source, and email confirmation status (
email-unverified until you confirm, then email-verified). - We send a short confirmation email via Resend with a verify link.
- Only after you confirm do we treat the sign-up as verified and show the thank-you page (conversion tags, if used, fire only then).
Lawful basis: consent for campaign and related communications you opt into. You can withdraw consent at any time (unsubscribe / contact us).
4. Other uses
- Responding to enquiries and administering Initiatives / network activity
- Sending newsletters or updates where you have opted in
- Improving the website and measuring campaign reach (analytics / ads — only with cookie consent where required)
- Legal, security, and fraud-prevention needs
5. Who we share data with (processors)
We use trusted providers to run the site and campaigns, including:
- Vercel — website hosting
- Ghost — membership / CRM and marketing email
- Resend — transactional email (e.g. campaign verify links, contact form)
- Stripe — donations
- Mailchimp — where used for list sync on join / refer flows
- Analytics / advertising platforms (e.g. Google, Meta, LinkedIn, X) — only if enabled and, where required, after cookie consent
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use necessary cookies to run the site. Analytics and advertising cookies / tags run only after you allow them in our cookie banner (CookieYes on the new site). You can change your mind anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.
Categories typically include: Necessary · Preferences · Analytics · Advertising.
7. How long we keep data
We keep campaign and membership data while you remain subscribed or as needed for the campaign and our legitimate records, then delete or anonymise it. Contact us for specifics about a particular list.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and to object to certain processing. You can also complain to the ICO.
